**Currently Hiring a Contract Test Engineer to Join Innovative Team with Growing Company in Florence, CO!** **Location:** Florence, CO **Employment Type:** Contract **Compensation:** $30-$45/hr, depending on relevant experience **About the Role** We are seeking a **Test Engineer** to join our innovative team. In this role, you will perform hands-on testing and validation of new components and pre-production builds to ensure reliability and performance. You will exercise hardware, run test scenarios, and collect data to identify failure signatures. Your work will confirm that subsystems behave reliably under repeated use through bench testing, load rigs, and endurance loops. **Key Responsibilities** + Execute component-level bench testing on motors, actuators, PCBs, sensors, and power modules. + Validate subsystems such as drive modules, blade actuation, power management, navigation systems, and compute enclosures. + Run stress and endurance cycles, including repeated actuation, thermal cycles, and vibration exposure. + Operate pre-production builds and cycle through real operational sequences. + Document observations, failure modes, anomalies, and boundary behaviors. + Collaborate with engineering teams on triage and root-cause analysis. **Essential Skills** + Experience in validation and test planning. + Proficiency in software test engineering and electrical engineering. + Familiarity with test equipment and software testing. + Strong engineering skills in electrical and mechanical design. + Ability to create and maintain test procedures and logs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to maintain test logs, calibration sheets, and build history. + Capability to refine and expand early test procedures based on learned experiences. **Why Join Us?** Be part of a team that values innovation and reliability. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
