Job Description

We are looking for a NIGHT SHIFT Fabrication worker for a busy Metal Fab Shop in Torrance. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, hard worker open to work overtime and looking to further their fabrications skills.

2ND SHIFT 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM Monday to Friday + Overtime.

DUTIES:

• Operate hand grinders, impact (hydraulic) wrenches, band saws, hand drills, and tube end punchers. Other Sheet Metal tools.
• Set up raw semi-finished material onto workhorses or rotating work stands.
• Assists lining up tube sheets, removing or installing tubes by use of tube pulling equipment to sledgehammers for the Fabrication of industrial structures.
• Grinds and sands large metal plates and large metal cylinders.
• Inspects for metal defects using dye penetrant.
• Assists with pressure testing using water or nitrogen.
• Performs assigned tasks in a safe manner, avoiding all unsafe practices.
• Performs internal quality control of assembly, cleaning, and test procedures.
• Operate bridge cranes. May become certified to use forklifts and may become certified to use mobile cranes.

Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of Fabrication/Construction/Sheet Metal/manufacturing experience is PREFERRED.
• Experience operating power tools and hydraulic equipment.
• Open to work OVERTIME.
• Able to lift, pull, push 50 lbs.
