• Work locations vary ranging from the greater Seattle area, Snohomish County and Skagit County depending on where a job takes us!
• Hourly pay is determined on experience, as well as prevailing wage with any public works projects.

Asphalt Screed/Paving Operator

Essential Job Duties:

• Cleaning excess asphalt from paver and proper disposal of debris. 
• Controls material taken into paver and the depth of material being distributed through the paver, smoothness of mat, any unnecessary roughness and/or irregularities in mat, ride quality of mat, and depths of material distributed through paving machine.
• Operates screed machine on a platform attached to the paver. 
• Uses the screed machine to lay asphalt material to project specifications including but not limited to depth, width, and grade.
• Daily maintenance and proper storage of tools and equipment at the end of each shift. 
• Installing/removing screed extensions. 
• Operates other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required. 
• The Asphalt Screed Operator position is expected to assist in the overall operation of the crew. 

This Assistance Includes but Is Not Limited To: 

• Operating other pieces of paving equipment including asphalt rollers, power brooms, skid steer loaders, loaders, and operation of company vehicles with approved driving history.
