SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The RN Attending Nurse will provide direct patient care, administers medications, educates, collaborates, and counsels patients and families. The Registered Nurse assesses physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients and families. The Attending RN will serve as the professional nurse by assessing, planning, directing, practicing and evaluating patient care in a designated group practice.

Join our local Pediatric Specialties team over at Penn State Health Lancaster Pediatric Center! Located across from Park City Mall, the LPC team is seeking an Attending Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. This office handles a variety of specialties, including, but not limited to: GI, Nutrition, Allergy, Infectious Disease, Pulmonary, Hematology/Oncology, Rheumatology, Endo/Diabetes, Nephrology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, ENT, Urology, and Audiology. The schedule will largely operate from Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and sees about 150-200 patients/day.

The RN will be responsible for rooming and intaking patients, performing phlebotomy, administering EKGs, observing Holter monitors, and assisting physicians with any minor in-house procedures. The RN will also oversee stimulation testing for patients, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Associates' Degree in Nursing required.
• BSN required within four (4) years of hire.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• One (1) year of RN experience or two (2) years of LPN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• BSN preferred
