Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests on patient specimens, ensure accurate results, and support quality patient care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze laboratory tests on patient specimens in accordance with established procedures.
  

• Record results in the laboratory information system and promptly report unusual or critical findings.
  

• Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and other testing materials.
  

• Conduct quality control checks, equipment maintenance, and calibrations to ensure accuracy.
  

• Communicate with nursing staff and clinical teams regarding results or test clarifications.
  

• Compare current test results with prior results and notify supervisors of unusual variations.
  

• Assist in training new staff, technologists, technicians, and support personnel.
  

• Take on Tech-in-Charge responsibilities as assigned.
  

• Participate in department meetings, continuing education, and quality assurance programs.
  

• Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information in accordance with policies.
  

• Contribute to a safe, collaborative, and respectful work environment.
  

Qualifications

• ASCP or NCLS certification as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician (preferred).
  

• At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience (preferred).
  

• MediClear certificate (required) 

• Strong knowledge of laboratory principles, test procedures, and their clinical significance.
  

• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
