Job Type: Full Time.
Job Location: Pat Mayse Lake – West and East Public Site Areas, Texas
Position Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Must provide and reside in a self-contained camper or trailer onsite.
Must pass a federal criminal background check.
Must be fully bonded for $5,000 for security of funds.
Basic computer literacy (for R1S reservation system).
Ability to transport self between PSAs and fulfill duties across two parks.
Professional, courteous demeanor and adherence to Corps of Engineers standards.
Ability to conduct daily park surveillance, manage funds, and interact with the public.
Reliable personal vehicle for inter-park duties and fee remittance.
Open park gates at 6:00 AM and close at 10:00 PM during duty days.
Staff gatehouse and perform R1S reservations, fee collection, and remittance.
Collect and process fees from multiple honor vaults (West: 1 vault, East: 3 vaults).
Conduct at least two full inspections of the parks per shift, posting tags and managing check-ins.
Sell and process America the Beautiful and Corps day use passes.
Maintain flower beds, clean gatehouse daily, and report issues to park rangers.
Assist park visitors and enforce quiet hours and general compliance.
Responsible for accurate accounting, preparation of transmittal forms, and submission of cashier’s checks.
