ETL Tester or Data Quality Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute data quality test cases for structured and semi-structured data sources.
• Validate ETL pipelines, data transformations, and migrations from various systems.
• Create and maintain data quality rules, checks, and reports using SQL, Python, or appropriate tools.
• Perform root cause analysis on data quality issues and coordinate with development and engineering teams for resolution.
• Monitor automated data pipelines and flag data anomalies or processing failures.
• Participate in requirement gathering sessions to understand data quality needs and translate them into test plans.
• Maintain documentation of data quality test plans, test results, and issue logs.
• Support implementation of data profiling and data quality tools and frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 3 5 years of experience in data quality testing, data analysis, or QA roles.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data profiling and validation.
• Experience testing ETL workflows (e.g., using Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or custom pipelines).
• Familiarity with data quality concepts, including data profiling, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
• Exposure to scripting languages like Python or Shell for test automation is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica DQ, Talend, Great Expectations, Ataccama, Deequ).
• Knowledge of data governance principles and metadata management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and associated data services.
• Understanding of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to validate report data against source.
