Job Title: Construction Superintendent & Site Safety Officer – Healthcare & VA Projects

Location : Tucson, AZ.

Employment Type : Full-Time.

Salary : $95,000–$110,000/year (DOE).

Start Date : Immediate or negotiable.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent/Site Safety Officer to oversee healthcare-related construction projects, including those for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital construction, site utility, federal compliance, and managing complex, multi-phase projects in active healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily on-site construction operations and ensure adherence to project schedules and safety standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain workflow and quality.
• Ensure compliance with VA specifications, infection control protocols, and hospital operational requirements.
• Conduct daily site inspections, safety meetings, and progress reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and VA representatives to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial or healthcare construction.
• Proven experience with VA construction projects or hospital renovations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, infection control, and Joint Commission standards.
• Ability to manage construction in occupied healthcare facilities.
• Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).

Preferred Certifications:

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety.
• USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM).
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• LEED or CHC (Certified Healthcare Constructor) is a plus.
